Baron Davis Becomes a Free Agent

Published by Ellis at 6:40 am under Basketball Edit This

In a somewhat surprising turn of events, Baron Davis opted out of the final year of his contract to become a free agent. Davis, the starting point guard for the Golden State Warriors, turned down approximately $17 million to test the free agency waters.

While he could very well decide to re-sign with the Warriors, two other teams have emerged as possible destinations – the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Knicks need a point guard and Davis is now the best point guard on the market. Davis may also be interested in joining the Clippers because he is from Los Angeles and has a lot of friends and family in the area.
